During the event I sat into several great presentations, and it was a valuable learning experience setting up, preparing and taking part in the exhibit. Being the first dive event, of this size and scope, some teething problems were to be expected not just on the part of the organisers but the many presenters and visitors who frequently grappled with getting their tech – their webcams, microphones, speakers, etc – to work.
It was due to be held this upcoming weekend - Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2020.
The organiser regrets the inconvenience caused. A future date that will be announced as soon as possible.
On Saturday, January 26th, the festive World ShootOut 2018 award winning ceremony took place at the boot Dusseldorf. Competition participants from all over the world arrived especially for the event, including photographers from South East Asia and USA. Prizes worth more than $70,000 were awarded to the winners of the 9 categories, as well as a fair share of cash prizes.
In addition the current state of the domestic economy also forced a number of local exhibitors to withdraw from the show due to lack of funds.
Compared to the previous year only 30% of the booths were sold at this juncture and as consequence, after after consulting with leaders of the diving community, the management decided to postpone the Festival "Golden Dolphin" until 2016 and ask the audience for their understanding under the circumstances.
"When we heard that the Birmingham Dive Show would be held on the same weekend, we were pleased because it would have meant that delegates had the opportunity of attending both shows.
"However we know that certain delegates want to devote themselves to a specific event and choosing can be tough. We felt the fairest option would be to change dates."
With EUROTEK.2014 now being held on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September, divers are free to attend both shows.
