Announcing the Winners of World Shootout 2021 Competition

Photographers from 54 countries, thousands of submissions and five finalists from each category who reached the final. Who are the ones going to win in one of the 12 categories and who will win the picture of the year?

This year, like last year due to the corona virus plague and closures, we deviated from the strict procedures that must be submitted for photographs from the past year and allowed photographers to submit photographs from the archive.

10th Annual Ocean Art Underwater Photo Contest Winners Announced

The prestigious Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition, organized by the Underwater Photography Guide, has announced the world’s best underwater photos with its 2021 winners. While we continue to see challenges and travel restrictions brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, the 10th annual competition was a testament to the high caliber of craftmanship found in our global community of underwater artists.

Ocean Art is one of the most prestigious underwater photo competitions in the world. A long list of prizes valued at over $30,000 also makes it one of the best endowed, attracting amateur to pro photographers across the globe.

For 2021, the contest aims to give back to those that have historically supported the Underwater Competition Series. The global pandemic continues to adversely impact dive travel and underwater imaging brands, so it is our turn to help them in their time of crisis.

World Shoutout 2021 Registration Open

This year, like last year rules are different, it is time to check your archives for what you have achieved, as "pictures of your life" competition is for the best photos you have taken in past years. 

Deadline for registration and submitting images November 1st, 2021
At the end of the competition, a digital album will be produced to be sent to all participants

Last chance to enter 2021 'Underbathwater Photographer of the Year' competition

Fourth Element - the UK-based thermal protection manufacturer - came up with the idea in April 2020 with the aim of lifting divers' spirits, whilst they remained at home during the first British Government lockdown.

The idea was simple. Take the best photo you can underwater in your bathtub. And if you don't have a bath, just get creative. A sink, bucket, water butt or just about anything that can hold water was perfectly acceptable.

Back in 2020, we challenged underwater photographers—many of whom found themselves stuck inside or unable to go diving during the pandemic—to search through their image archives and match a topside shot with one of their own underwater shots, in a side-by-side comparison.
