Sponsored Content, Paid Posts and Guest Blogs

Sponsored Content provides advertisers with a chance to present themselves with something other than an ad. A sponsored blog post is a post/article on one of our websites that is written or provided by the client – or created by one of our in-house copywriters for and on behalf of clients.

X-Ray Mag accepts sponsored content and guest blogs with the following provisos:

Topics and link targets must be compatible with our editorial profile and readership.  It should be family-friendly, both legal and acceptable for minors under 18, and culturally appropriate with respect to the geographic footprint of our readership.

Specifically excluded are:

  • Adult sites
  • Alcohol and Tobacco
  • Gambling
  • Content inappropriate for minors

Outlandish topics, unscientific claims, fake news, spurious advice, and offensive, contentious or slanderous statements are also some examples of content we reserve the right to give a pass.

Governing marketing laws and regulations make it a legal requirement that cannot be waived that paid-for content and sponsored blog posts must be declared as such - just like on major news outlets (shown in the graphic below.)

Note:  Clients who dispute or challenge this requirement once copy has been submitted and uploaded by us - even if it is just for proof and final approval - will be subject to a handling fee of €60 if reneging on the arrangement on these grounds.
