DRYFOB, a Miami, Florida based LLC introduced its signature DRYFOB waterproof car key container in May of 2021. Just over a year later, the company has announced two new sizes of DRYFOB as well as a newly achieved certification to 330ft (100m).

Nathalie Martel, inventor and founder of DRYFOB, and a master scuba diver, states: “We’ve had a tremendous reception from the diving community for the DRYFOB, and it is always a great feeling when someone tells us that they’ve been looking for a product like the DRYFOB for years."

We listened to feedback and released a slightly larger version, the V2 for oversized FOBs and an even larger XL version to support all popular Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs). All DRYFOB models are now IPx8 rated to 100m (330ft).

While the DRYFOB V1 had an interior cavity size of 3.75” (95mm) by 1.65” (42mm) and fit most standard sized car key FOBs, the DRYFOB V2 measures a larger 3.93” (100mm) by 1.81” (46mm) for larger FOBs such as the Jeep and newer Subaru, Volvo, and Buick.

The DRYFOB XL is even larger at 4.80” (122 mm) by 2.75” (70 mm) and is intended for all popular PLB models and for those that also want some extra room for credit cards and driver’s licenses.

Additional specifications and buoyancy characteristics are available from the manufacturer’s website.

Machined from anodized aluminum with a dual O-ring seal and IPx8 rated to 330ft (100m). DRYFOB containers allow scuba divers to safely carry their electronic car key FOBs and PLBs with them underwater even when diving at depth.

The patent pending and trademarked DRYFOB waterproof car key container is available at a growing list of dive shops and can also be purchased at www.dryfob.com.
