The ProTek brand will be part of the portfolio of brands under the Time Concepts umbrella. Time Concepts, LLC was started in 2007 by Barry Cohen during his tenure at Luminox Watch, a Swiss-made watch company he founded and owned for 27 years. Luminox gained fame for making watches that were supplied to Navy SEALs after a research and development officer approached him and asked to have a watch made for them that used the proprietary self-powered illumination that was a hallmark of the brand. Time Concepts was launched as a platform to develop private label watches. As the business evolved, it added its own Szanto vintage brand and the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association brand of dive watches. The newest addition to the Time Concepts stable of brands is ProTek (Official Watch brand of the United States Marines) that brings Cohen back to his roots with tritium illumination tactical style timepieces. Time Concepts develops watches in Switzerland and Asia and uses only top-quality manufacturers. Most of the company’s watches are manufactured in a dust-free, temperature- and humidity-controlled clean-room environment to ensure years of dependable service.
Time Concepts introduces the third ProTek series in its new collection of tritium tactical watches, from the Former Owner and Founder of Luminox, Barry Cohen.
Following the launch of the Carbon Dive Series and the Steel Dive Series, ProTek announces the launch of its Field Series.
All series in the ProTek brand are designed for a similar core group that includes Law Enforcement, SWAT, Tactical, Military, Special Forces, Fire Fighters, and First Responders.
The ProTek brand has been named an Official Watch of the United States Marines Corps.
ProTek watches were submitted to the USMC for review and analysis and were approved as an Official Watch of the USMC based on the accuracy, durability, quality, and superior ProGlo illumination that makes them ideal timepieces to serve Marines in the line of duty, and in their daily lives, but are also excellent timepieces for anyone leading an active lifestyle.

The Titanium Field series is made with a titanium case and case back, sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, dependable Japanese quartz movement from Miyota (division of Citizen), push crown with double O-rings to ensure 100 meters of water resistance, and come on genuine waterproof Italian leather straps with a unique buckle design reminiscent of a blue jeans belt.
Of course, its primary feature and difference maker is its superior self-powered Swiss illumination system and glows continuously for 25 years with no need for an external light source to charge the system, providing time-at-a-glance visibility in any light condition including complete darkness.
ProTek uses the largest tritium tubes available as hour indices instead of numbers and the lume colors put on a veritable light show in darkness, with the hour markers at 3, 6, 9 in green, 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 in soft ice blue and orange at the 12 to always find the top of the dial.
The minute and second hands glow green and the hour hand glows ice blue, and with the oversized tritium tubes used that contain more tritium, the watch glows like a beacon in the dark.

All watches are manufactured in a spotless assembly facility that has safeguards in place to ensure excellence in manufacturing quality timepieces, with an air filtration system that cleans the air inside, equivalent to an ISO7 clean-room standard.
