DIVING talks - International Diving Congress

The attractiveness of the Diving Talks International Congress arises mainly from the Speakers panel. Divers, researchers, explorers such as Cristina Zenato, Jill Heinerth, Natalie Gibb, Sylvia Earle, Ahmed Gabr, Mark Powell, Martyn Farr, and Sami Paakkarinen are some examples of the influential group that will share their recent contributions at the beautiful Tróia Resort.

Diving Talks will be a different concept also for the brands. The organization objective is to offer the attendees co-branded experiences during the weekend, giving sponsors a pretext for a more robust engagement with their audience.

Scuba diving is a diverse and breathtaking activity where, upon submerging, one can find oneself drifting along the waves of history. Such an opportunity presented itself to me during my recent visit with fellow divers in Perm, who discovered an interesting object under the ice in the Sylva River.

Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa (MUSAN) is an aquatic treasure for Cyprus, since its uniqueness in combination with Ayia Napa’s marine environment create a special project, the like of which isn’t offered anywhere else.

Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa is now open

Museum visitors can be divers, but also swimmers with mask and snorkels. The entire project is a water journey into the relationship between man and nature, as created by the renowned Jason deCaires Taylor.

The artist uses his knowledge and skills as a sculptor, marine conservationist, underwater photographer and scuba instructor to create unique works of art, which respond to the place they are put and enhance marine life.

The great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is undeniably the most well known of the ocean’s many predators. It has, one could say, “form” and is widely considered as a ruthless and terrifying man-eater, which has taken the lives of many innocent swimmers, surfers and divers.

As a cave diver, you do not come back from the Yucatán and say, “I have done Mexico,” boasting with pride and glory. It takes more than one visit to fully appreciate the enormous potential the peninsula has to offer underground. That means having not only the guts for it, but also the necessary training and experience to be able to do so. “Rome was not built in a day,” as the saying goes.
